Terms and Conditions

By downloading, installing, or using the Dishley app (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Dishley for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.
2. App Description
Dishley is a recipe and cooking assistant app that helps you:
- Generate and organize recipes
- Manage shopping lists
- Extract text from photos of recipes or ingredients
- Sync your data across Apple devices via iCloud (optional)
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the App
- Not use the App in any way that could damage or impair its functionality
- Ensure your device meets the App’s system requirements
4. AI-Generated Content
Dishley uses artificial intelligence to generate recipes and analyze ingredients. Please note that:
- AI-generated recipes are suggestions and may not always be accurate
- You should use your judgment regarding food safety, allergies, and dietary restrictions
- We are not responsible for any health issues, allergic reactions, or other problems that may result from following AI-generated recipes
- Always verify ingredients and cooking instructions before preparing food
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
- Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
- No refunds are provided for unused portions of subscriptions
6. Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains:
- How we handle your data (stored locally or in your iCloud)
- Our use of third-party services (Google AI, RevenueCat)
- Camera and photo permissions for text extraction
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services:
- Google AI Services: For recipe generation and text analysis
- RevenueCat: For subscription management
- Apple iCloud: For optional data syncing
Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App
- This includes but is not limited to damages from food preparation, dietary issues, or data loss
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App
9. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or copyrighted material without permission.
10. Termination
We may terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it from your devices.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted in the App with a new effective date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. App Store Terms
Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple App Store Terms and Conditions.
